Lavish Luxury on the Sea

Sitting in the midst of a recession, it’s not particularly “trendy” to own a yacht, so I suppose I’ll procrastinate my purchase until it’s fashionable again. <dramatic sigh> While I wait, I intend to indulge in other peoples’ lavish luxuries like the Illusion, featured in Architectural Digest’s July 2008 issue, with interiors as breathtaking as the view. If you need me, I’ll be sipping martinis on the deck.

The Incredible Illusion

Heaven

A pair of luscious suede chairs by Gerrit Rietveld

A Roy Lichtenstein print hangs over the dining table

Glass-and-oak doors divide the main saloon from the hall leading to a master stateroom

Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein prints give this glamorous white stateroom a bit of va-va-voom

Spa-like white and gray marble bathrooms

I'm waiting for my invitation to THIS dinner party!

  1. I mean..this is AMAZING. Too bad it’s not ‘trendy’ right now, or I’d buy that ;)
