Nailed It
To me, there is no better way to spend a rainy Monday night than sitting perched on a client’s sofa while sorting through fabric samples. Ok, a better way might be sorting with one hand and sipping a good Chardonnay with the other, but still, we had a fantastic evening.
Le Bachelorette (as she will henceforth be called!) loves a touch of glamor, so once we settled on the perfect shade of ivory for the headboard, we chatted about nailhead trim…and that’s where the train sorta derailed. Essentially, we imagined bedazzling her entire apartment. Every piece of furniture cowered in fear as we surveyed the room for more victims. Um, we might need an intervention.
Elegant dining chairs, via ErinnV Design Group. I’m loving the orange fabric pattern!
Greek-key design done entirely in nailheads! Brilliant move by Madeline Stuart.
See how a little nailhead trim can add a touch of texture, tying together a duel-fabric dining chair?

And trim can highlight a dazzling bit of detail, like these scalloped edges.
I’m in love with these chic, modern X-based benches from Joss & Main, subtly trimmed for a little more shine.
Large nailheads on the door? Why not!
Nailhead trim on leather-paneled walls…be still my heart. I might have to bring this idea up at our next design meeting. Wink.
